OMNICARE ANNOUNCES RESIGNATION OF JEFFREY W.
UBBEN FROM BOARD OF DIRECTORS
COVINGTON, Ky., Nov 14, 2008 – Omnicare, Inc. (NYSE:OCR), one of the nation’s leading providers of pharmaceutical care for the elderly, today announced that Jeffrey W. Ubben, founder, chief executive officer and chief investment officer of ValueAct Capital, has resigned as a member of its Board of Directors effective November 14, 2008.
“I have resigned from the Omnicare Board of Directors in light of ValueAct Capital’s reduced ownership stake in Omnicare and to focus my attention on other ValueAct Capital portfolio companies,” said Mr. Ubben. “It has been an honor to serve on the Board. I continue to believe that Omnicare has developed a solid foundation upon which to generate sustainable and profitable growth. Looking ahead I believe that this company will continue to bring long-term value to its shareholders and enhance customer growth.”
