On August 14, 2014, Winthrop Realty Trust issued a press release announcing that it would be satisfying the liquidating distribution with respect to its Series D Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Shares of Beneficial Interest (the “Series D Shares”) on September 15, 2014 (the “Payment Date”). As a result, trading with respect to the Series D Shares will be suspended upon the close of business on September 12, 2014, the business day immediately prior to the Payment Date. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 hereto and incorporated by this reference.
