On April 4, 2010, Jack Friedman, a director and retired Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Friedman Industries, Incorporated (the “Company”) passed away.

On April 6, 2010, the Company issued a press release announcing Mr. Friedman’s passing. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
