ITEM 7.01 REGULATION FD DISCLOSURE.
Through a press release attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1, GeoResources, Inc. (the “Registrant”) announced that its Chief Executive Officer, Frank A. Lodzinski, would be presenting a slideshow at the Pritchard Capital Partners Energize 2009 Conference on Wednesday, January 14th. The slideshow will consist of slides that have been previously disclosed on the Registrant’s website.

GeoResources, Inc. to Present at the Pritchard
Capital Partners Energize 2009 Conference
Houston, Texas, January 13, 2009 – GeoResources, Inc., (NASDAQ:GEOI), today announced that it will participate in the Pritchard Capital Partners Energize 2009 Conference being held on January 13-15, 2009 in San Francisco.
Frank A. Lodzinski, President and Chief Executive Officer is scheduled to present on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 3:15 p.m. Pacific Time (6:15 pm Eastern Time). He will also be attending and participating in meetings with members of the investment community.
