Item 8.01. Other Events
On December 7, 2006, the Company adjusted the guidance provided in late October by announcing that it expected net sales in the fourth quarter to be down in the mid-single digits versus the year ago period. The Company revised its earnings forecast range to reflect a net loss of 6 cents per share to a net loss of 2 cents per share. Included in this range is the effect of 6 cents of previously disclosed restructuring, asset impairment and severance charges as well as the effect of 3 cents in increased interest expense due to the upfront recognition of the gain on interest rate swaps at the end of the first quarter.
