Explanation of Responses:

1. On November 30, 2022, the reporting person transferred 51,953 shares of IP common stock to a revocable living trust of which the reporting person is the trustees and the reporting person and his family are the beneficiaries.

2. These shares are held in trust for the benefit of the reporting person and the reporting person's family and the reporting person is the trustee of the trust.

3. Represents the weighted average price for 2,000 shares sold within the range of $36.0000 to $36.9999. Information regarding the number of shares sold at each separate price will be made available from the reporting person upon request by the SEC, the issuer or its shareowners.
