Fellow Employees,
We have had a busy few weeks preparing for our 2015 Annual Meeting of Stockholders. During this time, I have heard from many of our people across the entire organization and out in the field. The common feedback is that we are more driven than ever to perform and grow. I am extremely pleased with the level of your commitment and contribution to our success!
As you know, our Annual Meeting was scheduled to be held today. However, some recent developments have caused several of our stockholders to request a postponement of the Annual Meeting, and we are now scheduled to hold the meeting on May 6, 2015. This process has been complex and we want to ensure our stockholders have ample time to make an informed choice.
The postponement coincides with an announcement we made this morning regarding Sangwoo “Bill” Ahn, our Chairman of the Board. Bill has been an important part of our growth and evolution, and he believes now is the right time to retire. He may be retiring from the Furmanite Board, but I am certain he will remain active in his personal endeavors. On behalf of the entire Board and management team, we thank Bill for his years of service and wish him all the best in the future.
In addition to Bill’s retirement, we also recently announced that the Board will search for a new director with deep industry experience that will complement the skillset of the Board and bring fresh perspective. We believe that this action, combined with the ongoing initiatives of our Board and management team, will help ensure our strategy continues to grow our company, support our customers and employees, and create significant, long-term value for our stockholders.
Overall, our stockholders have many positive things to say about our business. We appreciate their views and ideas for ways we can support their investment in Furmanite. We believe providing more time to vote is the best way to be responsive to their suggestions.
Thank you for your hard work and for remaining focused during this year’s extended Annual Meeting process. We look forward to updating you following the meeting on May 6!
Sincerely,
Joe
