Item 8.01 Other Events
Horizon Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of Horizon Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ GS: HBNC) (“Horizon”), announced the completion of its previously announced acquisition of 14 branches in 11 Michigan counties. This latest branch transaction is Horizon’s 15th acquisition since 2002 and fifth in the last five years.
On September 20, 2021, Horizon issued a press release announcing the completion of the acquisition. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated by reference herein.
