Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On October 16, 2008, the Compensation and Stock Option Committee of the Board of Directors of National Western Life Insurance Company (the “Company”) approved an amended 2008 Domestic Marketing Officer Bonus Program (“Amended Bonus Program”). The Amended Bonus Program updates certain performance target goals for specific aspects of the Company’s business which were not included in the previously approved program. A copy of the Amended Bonus Program is attached hereto as Exhibit 10 (bt) and is incorporated by reference herein.
