Explanation of Responses:

1. Shares were acquired by the reporting person pursuant to the merger between Farmers National Banc Corp. (the "Company"), Monitor Bancorp, Inc. ("Monitor"), and FMNB Merger Subsidiary II, LLC ("Merger Sub"). Pursuant to the terms of the Merger Agreement, Monitor was merged with and into Merger Sub (the "Merger") and immediately thereafter Merger Sub was dissolved and liquidated. Each shareholder of Monitor was entitled to elect to receive consideration in cash or in common shares, without par value, of the Company (the "Company Common Shares"). The reporting person was a shareholder of Monitor and elected to receive Company Common Shares at a final stock exchange ratio of 54.7992 Company Common Shares for each share of Monitor owned by the reporting person.
