On April 25, 2007, the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of Applied Micro Circuits Corporation (the “Company”) elected Donald Colvin as a member of the Board. The Board also named Mr. Colvin to the Audit Committee of the Board. The Company is not aware of any transaction requiring disclosure under Item 404(a) of Regulation S-K.
