FIRST MERCHANTS CORPORATION ANNOUNCES CASH DIVIDEND

First Merchants Corporation declared a cash dividend on August 1, 2011 of $0.01 per share, payable on September 19, 2011, to shareholders of record on September 2, 2011.  For purposes of broker trading, the ex-date of the cash dividend is August 31, 2011.
