Item 5. Other Events and Regulation FD Disclosure.
On December 17, 2003, LSB Bancshares, Inc. issued a press release announcing that it will open a mortgage loan office in the Raleigh-Durham market next month. The office will be located in North Raleigh and will be known as LSB Professional Mortgage. The office will handle a full array of residential mortgage services. Reference is made to such press release, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
