Item 8.01. Other Events.
On May 16, 2006, the Board of Directors of LSB Bancshares, Inc. approved an extension of its stock repurchase program through May 31, 2008, and authorized the company to repurchase a total of 400,000 shares of the company’s common stock under the extended program during the period from May 16, 2006 through May 31, 2008.
On May 18, 2006, LSB Bancshares issued a press release announcing the extension of the Stock Repurchase Program. A copy of the press release is attached to this filing as Exhibit 99.1.
