ACNB CORPORATION REPORTS
2009 THIRD QUARTER EARNINGS
GETTYSBURG, PA, November 2 — ACNB Corporation reported year-to-date net income of $5,447,000 for the nine months ended September 30, 2009, compared to $5,022,000 over the same nine-month period in 2008, an increase of $425,000 or 8%. Net income on a per share basis amounted to $0.92 for the first three quarters of 2009 and was $0.84 for the same period in 2008.
For the quarter, the Corporation reported net income of $1,897,000 for the three months ended September 30, 2009, compared to $484,000 for the same quarter in 2008, an increase of $1,413,000 or 292%. Net income on a per share basis amounted to $0.32 for the third quarter of 2009 and was $0.08 for the same period in 2008.
Total assets of ACNB Corporation on September 30, 2009, were $968 million—an increase of 3% from September 30, 2008. Total deposits increased by 5% over the previous year to $715 million. Total loans rose by 3% to $641 million, as compared to September 30, 2008. An increase of 8% in stockholders’ equity resulted in an aggregate of $89.2 million on September 30, 2009.
