| On October 22, 2004, Teknowledge Corporation (the "Company") and one of the defendants (the "Defendant") of the Company's lawsuit known as Case No. C02-5741 SI and related Case No. C03-03321 SI in the United States District Court for the District of Northern California, agreed to settle all claims and controversies arising from the lawsuit. In this lawsuit, Company asserted infringement of certain claims of its US Patent No. 6,029,175 (the "'175 Patent"). The settlement provided that the parties mutually release claims and dismiss the action, that the Defendant pay Teknowledge $600,000.00, and that Teknowledge grant to Defendant a nonexclusive, worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual royalty free license under the '175 Patent. |
