Item 1.01. Entry into a Material Definitive Agreement.
On August 15, 2006, the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors of West Coast Bancorp approved an increase in the annual base salary of Xandra McKeown, Executive Vice President, Business Banking, from $162,200 to $185,200, effective as of September 1, 2006.
