Item 8.01 Other Events.
On December 19, 2014, MainSource Financial Group, Inc. issued a press release announcing that its Board of Directors has authorized a stock repurchase program pursuant to which up to 5.0% of the Corporation’s outstanding shares of common stock, or approximately 1,085,000 shares, may be repurchased. The repurchase program will be effective January 1, 2015. A copy of the press release announcing the approval of the stock repurchase program is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and incorporated by reference herein.
