Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers
On September 19, 2014, Merchants Bancshares, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that Janet P. Spitler is resigning from her position as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of the Company, effective December 31, 2014. The Company is in the process of conducting a search for a new chief financial officer. A copy of the press release announcing Ms. Spitler’s departure is filed herewith as Exhibit 99.1.
