Item 2.02. Results of Operations and Financial Condition
On October 27, 2016, Merchants Bancshares, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing its financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2016. Additionally, the Company announced the approval by its Board of Directors of a regular quarterly dividend of $0.28 per share on the Company’s common stock payable on November 23, 2016 to stockholders of record on November 10, 2016. The text of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
