Item 5.02 – Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers
Effective July 1, 2006 Dr. Kay C. Carnes was appointed to the Board of Directors of both AmericanWest Bancorporation and its wholly owned subsidiary, AmericanWest Bank. AmericanWest Bancorporation expanded the size of its Board of Directors from six to seven to accommodate the appointment of Dr. Carnes. See the press release attached as Exhibit 99.1.
