Item 5.02 – Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers
Effective October 5, 2007 Mr. Douglas K. Anderson was appointed to the Board of Directors of both AmericanWest Bancorporation and its wholly owned subsidiary, AmericanWest Bank. AmericanWest Bancorporation expanded the size of its Board of Directors from eight to nine to accommodate the appointment of Mr. Anderson. Mr. Anderson will serve on the Board’s Governance Committee. See the press release attached as Exhibit 99.1.
