Item 8.01 Other Events.
On August 2, 2021, Indianapolis Power & Light Company, a subsidiary of IPALCO Enterprises, Inc. (“IPALCO”) and The AES Corporation and which does business as AES Indiana (“AES Indiana”), announced plans to acquire a 250-megawatt solar and 180-megawatt hour energy storage facility to be developed in Pike County, Indiana and expected to be completed in 2024.
A copy of AES Indiana’s press release announcing the solar and energy storage project is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
