KNOW ALL PERSONS BY THESE PRESENTS that the undersigned Shareholders of the Short Term Government Income Fund (“Performance Short Term Government Income Fund”), a portfolio of the Performance Funds Trust, hereby designate and appoint Curtis Barnes and Danio Mastropieri as proxies to act at the Special Meeting of Shareholders (the "Special Meeting") to be held on September 19 2012, at 100 Summer Street, Suite 1500, Boston, MA 02110 at 12:00 o’clock, Noon, Eastern Time, and at any adjournment thereof. The attorneys named will vote the shares represented by this proxy in accordance with the choices made on this ballot. If this proxy is executed and returned in time and no choice is indicated as to an item, this proxy will be voted affirmatively on such matter. Discretionary authority is hereby conferred as to all other matters as may properly come before the Special Meeting or any adjournment thereof.

To approve or disapprove a proposed Agreement and Plan of Reorganization pursuant to which Federated U.S. Government Securities Fund: 1-3 Years would acquire all or substantially all of the assets of the Performance Short Term Government Income Fund, in exchange for Service Shares of Federated U.S. Government Securities Fund: 1-3 Years to be distributed pro rata by the Performance Short Term Government Income Fund to shareholders of its Class A Shares and Institutional Class, in a complete liquidation, dissolution and termination of the Performance Short Term Government Income Fund.
