Item 8.01. OTHER EVENTS AND REGULATION FD DISCLOSURE
On October 31, 2012, the Board of MidSouth Bancorp, Inc. announced a cash dividend was declared in the amount of seven cents ($.07) per share to be paid on its common stock on January 2, 2013 to shareholders of record on December 14, 2012. The Company’s press release announcing the cash dividend is attached as Exhibit 99.1.
