EXPEDITORS ANNOUNCES SEMI-ANNUAL CASH DIVIDEND OF $.16

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON — May 8, 2008, Expeditors International of Washington, Inc. (NASDAQ: EXPD), today announced that its Board of Directors has declared a semi-annual cash dividend of $.16 per share, a 14% increase from the $.14 per share semi-annual dividend declared in 2007.  The dividend will be payable on June 16, 2008 to shareholders of record as of June 2, 2008.
