EXPEDITORS ANNOUNCES SEMI-ANNUAL CASH DIVIDEND OF $.25

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON – May 5, 2011, Expeditors International of Washington, Inc.

(NASDAQ: EXPD), today announced that its Board of Directors has declared a semi-annual cash dividend of $.25 per share, a 25% increase from the $.20 per share semi-annual dividend declared in 2010. The dividend will be payable on June 15, 2011 to shareholders of record as of June 1, 2011.
