For Immediate Release
Norsat Awarded Five Year GSA Contract
(Vancouver, Canada) May 15, 2006, 09:00 AM EST –Norsat International Inc. (TSX – NII.TO; OTC BB – NSATF.OB) announced today that it has been awardeda five year Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) contract by the General Services Administration (GSA) in the United States. The contract vehicle enables federal, state and local governments to procure the Company’s satellite communications equipment and solutions.
“We are pleased to have completed the process of putting this contract vehicle in place. This should help our government customers simplify procurement procedures, reduce lead times and lower administrative costs,” said Bill Coyne, President and CEO.
The contract (GS-35F-0400S) constitutes a multiple award schedule under Informational Technology Schedule 70 and is effective now through May 4th, 2011. It grants agencies direct access to Norsat products through Special Item Numbers (SINs) 132-8 and 132-12.
