Item 8.01 Other Events.
On August 14, 2006, the Board of Trustees of Maxus Realty Trust, Inc. (the "Registrant") decided to continue to suspend the payment of its quarterly cash dividend until the Hurricane Katrina insurance claims are resolved and the Registrant can better project the recurring cash flows from the Registrant's operations.
