Item 8.01 Other Events
On March 31, 2016, NextEra Energy Capital Holdings, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of NextEra Energy, Inc. (NEE), sold $500 million principal amount of its 2.30% Debentures, Series due April 1, 2019 (Debentures), which Debentures are guaranteed by NEE. The Debentures were registered under the Securities Act of 1933 pursuant to Registration Statement Nos. 333-205558, 333-205558-01 and 333-205558-02. This Current Report on Form 8-K is being filed to report as exhibits certain documents in connection with the sale of the Debentures.
