Item 8.01. Other Events
On February 25, 2005, the Utah Public Service Commission approved a settlement that increases annual rates for Utah customers by $51.0 million, or 4.4%, above current levels. The new rates take effect March 1, 2005. The settlement also provides for an allowed return on equity of 10.5% and an agreement that the next general rate case would be filed after February 28, 2006. PacifiCorp’s original increase request of $111.0 million was filed on August 4, 2004.
