Item 5.02 (b) Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (NYSE: CFG, or “Citizens”) today announced that Richard Stein will assume the role of Chief Risk Officer upon the retirement of Malcolm Griggs in the first quarter of 2024. Upon assuming the Chief Risk Officer role, Mr. Stein will report to Bruce Van Saun, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and serve on the bank’s Executive Committee.
A copy of Citizens’ press release announcing Mr. Stein’s appointment and Mr. Griggs’ retirement is attached to this report as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
