Item 8.01 Other Events.
On March 13, 2012, Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. issued the attached press release indicating that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.625 per share payable on June 1, 2012, to shareholders of record as of the close of business on April 29, 2012. As April 29, 2012 falls on a Sunday, the effective record date for the dividend will be close of business on Friday, April 27, 2012. The press release dated March 13, 2012, announcing the quarterly cash dividend, is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1, and is incorporated herein by reference.
