PENN VIRGINIA CORPORATION ANNOUNCES PUBLIC OFFERING OF
3,500,000 SHARES OF COMMON STOCK
RADNOR, PA (BusinessWire) May 18, 2009 –Penn Virginia Corporation (NYSE: PVA) announced today a registered underwritten public offering of 3,500,000 shares of its common stock. The underwriters will have up to 30 days to purchase up to 525,000 additional shares of its common stock. Net proceeds from the offering are expected to be used to pay down a portion of the outstanding borrowings under PVA’s revolving credit facility and for general corporate purposes.
J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. and RBC Capital Markets Corporation are acting as joint book-running managers for the offering.
