Item 8.01 Other Events
On November 15, 2005, Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust (the “Company”) received approval by the lenders under the Company’s $500 million credit agreement (the “Credit Facility”) of the Company’s request for an extension of the time period during which the Company may, under prescribed conditions, seek to increase the maximum amount available under the Credit Facility to $650 million. The Company’s right to seek the increase had been scheduled to expire on November 20, 2005, but will now extend until the termination date of the Credit Facility. The Credit Facility has a term that expires in November 2007, and the Company has an option for an additional 14 month extension, provided that there is no event of default at that time.
