Item 5 -- Other Events and Item 12 -- Disclosure of Results of Operation and Financial Condition
On April 14, 2004, Peoples Energy Corporation ("Peoples Energy" or the "Company") issued a press release and will give a presentation to analysts in Chicago, Illinois, concerning the Company's expectations for financial results for the second quarter of fiscal year 2004 and for the remainder of fiscal year 2004. The Company reaffirms its previously communicated fiscal year 2004 earnings guidance of between $2.70 and $2.85 per diluted share.
Peoples Energy also is announcing that it will hold a webcast conference call on Friday, April 23, 2004 to discuss financial results for the second quarter of fiscal year 2004.
