Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure
On September 20, 2005, the administrative law judge in The Peoples Gas Light and Coke Company's gas charge reconciliation proceeding for 2001, which is currently pending before the Illinois Commerce Commission, issued a proposed order. The proposed order recommends a refund to rate payers of approximately $118.6 million. Peoples Energy Corporation issued a press release in response to the administrative law judge's proposed order, a copy of which is furnished as an exhibit to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
