Exhibit 99.8
MESSAGE TO SUPPLIERS
Date: Monday, October 26
Event: Announcement
(Name here),
I’d like to share some exciting news. This morning, Bridgestone Americas announced that Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) has reached an agreement to acquire Pep Boys. The final deal is subject to normal regulatory proceedings and is expected to close early in 2016.
One of our Integrated Consumer Tire group’s core business strategies is to strengthen our distribution network for better access to the Boss. Along with Bridgestone’s long-standing dealers and distributors, the addition of Pep Boys to BSRO’s footprint — a more than 35 percent immediate expansion — helps us reach more Bosses with the products and services they want when they need them.
While the existing structure of our working relationship with (supplier company name here) may change, our commitment to you will not. You have been and will continue to be a valued business partner to BSRO, and we will be honest and transparent in keeping you apprised of the implications of this acquisition.
Today’s announcement is just the first of many steps in the communication and execution of this deal. I’ll share further details with you as appropriate and as they become available.
Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions. Thank you for your continued partnership.

Other factors that may cause Pep Boys’ actual results to differ materially from those expressed or implied in the forward-looking statements are discussed in Pep Boys’ filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”), including its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended January 31, 2015, and subsequent reports filed by Pep Boys with the SEC.
