Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers
On September 29, 2010, The Pep Boys - Manny, Moe & Jack (the "Company") designated Sanjay Sood, its Vice President - Controller, as the Company's principal accounting officer.Mr. Sood, 46, has been the Company's Vice President - Controller since he joined Pep Boys in 2005. Prior to joining Pep Boys, Mr. Sood worked at Danka Business Systems as Senior Vice President of Finance from 2001 to 2005 and as Senior Vice President of Planning and Analysis from 2000 to 2001. From 1997 to 2000, Mr. Sood served as Vice President and Corporate Controller of Hollywood Entertainment. Mr. Sood has over 20 years of private and public accounting experience.
Executive Vice President - Chief Financial Officer Raymond L. Arthur, who was previously designated as both principal financial officer and principal accouting officer, will remain the Company's principal financial officer.
