Item 8.01 Other Events.
On March 13, 2006, Associated Banc-Corp issued a news release related to its new share repurchase authorization, its accelerated stock repurchase agreement for 4 million shares, and an increase in its wholesale funding reduction initiative. The Company’s news release is filed herewith as Exhibit 99.
