Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers
Election of Jennifer Damico as Principal Accounting Officer
On February 27, 2020, Loretta V. Cangialosi notified the Board that she will retire as Senior Vice President - Controller, effective March 1, 2020. Ms. Cangialosi had been designated the Company’s principal accounting officer. The Board elected Jennifer B. Damico, age 52, as Senior Vice President - Controller and the Company’s principal accounting officer, effective March 1, 2020. Ms. Damico joined Pfizer in 1992 and has held several positions with increasing responsibility in Audit and Finance. She has been the Company’s Senior Vice President - Corporate Audit and the Company’s lead internal auditor since 2014.
The Board also appointed Gordon Loh, Senior Vice President, Corporate Audit, reporting to the Audit Committee of the Board as well as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer, Frank D’Amelio, effective March 1, 2020. Mr. Loh has worked at Pfizer for 25 years and served in several positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as Vice President of Finance for Pfizer Global Supply.
