Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.
On October 8, 2007, Respironics, Inc. (the Company) announced that the Company's Novametrix pulse oximetry product line was sold to Dixtal Medical. The Company discussed its intention to focus on other patient monitoring technologies during the Company's July 2007 earnings call and the impact of the divestiture was included in the guidance provided at that time. The sale of this business is not a material transaction for the Company.
