Item 5. Other Events and Regulation FD Disclosure
On November 6, 2003, Piedmont Natural Gas Company issued a Press Release to announce that it had sold its 33% equity interest in the proposed Greenbrier Pipeline project to Dominion Resources (Dominion) for $9.2 million, which equates to Piedmont’s book value investment. The project was originally entered into with Dominion in September 2001. A copy of the Press Release is attached as an exhibit to this Form 8-K.
