On April 30, 2009, AMAG Pharmaceuticals, Inc., or the Company, issued a press release regarding its operating results and revenues for the quarter ended March 31, 2009 and its intention to hold a conference call regarding such financial results and condition, its business highlights and development programs. A copy of the Company’s press release is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1.
Item 8.01 Other Events
On April 30, 2009, the Company also announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration informed the Company that the observations noted during the recent inspection of the Company’s Cambridge, Massachusetts manufacturing facility have been adequately addressed, and that a re-inspection of its manufacturing facility will not be required as a condition to approval of Feraheme™ (ferumoxytol injection).
