On November 13, 2013, Health Management Associates, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release regarding its financial condition as of September 30, 2013 and its results of operations for the three and nine months then ended. The Company’s press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
On November 13, 2013, the Company issued a press release announcing that its Board of Directors has affirmed support of the transaction with Community Health Systems, Inc. A copy of the release is attached as Exhibit 99.2 to this Current Report onForm 8-K.
