Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On May 7, 2010, CKx, Inc. (the "Company") announced that Robert F.X. Sillerman has resigned as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company and has resigned from the Company's board, effective immediately.
The board of directors of the Company announced that Michael G. Ferrel, a former director and president of the Company, will serve as acting chief executive officer and that director Edward Bleier was appointed as chairman of the board.
Item 8.01 Other Events.
On May 7, 2010, the Registrant issued a press release relating to Mr. Sillerman's resignation and the appointment of Messrs. Ferrel and Bleier. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated by reference herein.
