On March 30, 2017, Mr. H. J. Mervyn Blakeney, 79, notified The Navigators Group, Inc. (the “Company”) that he will retire from the Board of Directors of the Company (the “Board”) effective as of May 25, 2017, the date of the Company’s Annual Stockholder Meeting and the conclusion of Mr. Blakeney’s current term. Mr. Blakeney serves as a member of the Compensation, Finance and Corporate Governance and Nominating Committees. Mr. Blakeney has been a director of the Company since 2004.
