A Message from Bob Dutkowsky:
This morning, Oracle announced they are going to make a hostile tender offer to buy PeopleSoft at $16 a share next Monday.
Bob Dutkowsky said, “PeopleSoft and J.D. Edwards have signed a definitive agreement to merge the two companies based on sound business rationale. Oracle’s proposed offer is in no way affecting our resolve to move forward and create the world’s second largest enterprise application software company.”
Most importantly Quest Global, our global user conference, will go on as planned next week. We have a great value story for our customers and we will proceed with the plans to share that with our users next week. So, for all of you who are involved in the conference, stay focused and deliver our messages with confidence.
