ITEM 8.01. OTHER EVENTS.
On September 30, 2010, ERHC Energy Inc. (the “Company”) issued a news release announcing the decision of the Joint Development Authority (JDA) to grant a 6-month extension to Exploration Phase I to the operators of Blocks 3 and 4 of the Nigeria - São Tomé & Príncipe Joint Development Zone in which ERHC has interests. The announcement indicated that the outcome of a similar dialogue between the contracting parties and the JDA on JDZ Block 2 is expected shortly.
