Item 8.01 Other Events.
Buckeye Partners, L.P. (“Buckeye”) deeply regrets to report the death of Donald W. Niemiec, a director of Buckeye’s general partner, Buckeye GP LLC (“Buckeye GP”). Mr. Niemiec, who passed away unexpectedly on May 17, 2016, served as a director of the Board of Directors of Buckeye GP since 2014 and was also a member of the Board’s Audit and Health, Safety, Security and Environmental Committees. Mr. Niemiec will be greatly missed by Buckeye.
